Choosing the right bar stool height is easier than you think
All you need is one measurement β the height of your bench or counter (from the floor to the top). Once you know that, the right stool height becomes clear.

βοΈ Why seat height variation is normal
Bar stools are designed around comfort and clearance, not exact numbers.
For best comfort, allow 25β30cm of space between the seat and the underside of your bench.
- Too high β knees feel cramped
- Too low β awkward reaching
As long as your stool falls within the correct range, it will be comfortable.
π How to measure (30 seconds)
- Measure from the floor to the top of your bench
- Subtract 25β30cm
- The result is your ideal seat height range
